Situated in the south-west corner of the London Borough of Ealing and within easy access of all types of public transport, West Ealing Bowls and Social Club is one of the top bowls clubs in Middlesex and offers lawn green bowls and social facilities to Club Members, friends and families. Details of all our facilities and functions are contained in this website.
West Ealing Bowls and Social Club has been in existence at its present location since 1923, making it one of the older Bowls Clubs in the London Borough of Ealing. We are presently a Private Members Club with membership by invitation only from any current Club member. Both ladies and men are welcome for either bowling or social membership. Young people from the age of 7 to 17 years can join as Junior Bowls Members.
As well as a full size outdoor 6 rink bowling green, the Club also has a full-size snooker table, darts and a licensed bar stocking various bottled beers and lagers, plus a wide range of spirits and soft drinks.
Social Events also take place from time-to-time throughout the year. Members, families and friends are always welcome at these events.
The aim of the Club is to actively promote the game of bowls in Ealing and Middlesex for both ladies and men, with particular emphasis on encouraging young people to take an interest in the sport. By being a member of the Club, access is also available to Local, County and National Bowls competitions and the Club supports members wishing to take part in such games. The Club is fortunate in having fully qualified Bowls Coaches and Umpires as members and full instruction as to the rules and etiquette of the game is always available. The image of lawn bowls to many people is that it is 'an old mans game'. This image could not be further from the truth at West Ealing. The game is skilful and very competitive but always played in good spirit.
