15th July 2018

Ok boys n girls. The footie is over. Wimbledon is over but bowls isn't over........

Well it is on a couple of things. ......................Thursday saw a 2 shot loss against Perry Cook in the B/E mixed pairs. for Paul C and Sue. Yesterday (Saturday )the girls lost by 5 shots to Bishop Stanford in the B/E Top Club and today (Sunday) the boys lost in the B/E double 4's at Thatcham.  Big commiserations to all

However on Tuesday 10th Chilly came back from Camber Sands holiday to play with Rob and Barry in the quarters of the triples and then played with Sub Paul aka Wookie and won the semi to get to Leamington. Our first boys to qualify. Big congratulations

And there are still things worth fighting for this week

On Tuesday 17th

Paul C, John C, Robin I & Stan M  do battle in the in the over 55's Men's 4ís,  S/F Middx division against North London at  Brentham . Support would be welcome

Wednesday 18th is the B/E Top club for the boys against Hendon at home so they definitely need support . Food is provided after

Saturday 21st at Cambridge Park is the Ladies County Finals  where we have at 9.30 in the 4's Kas. Janine . Lu and Sue . At 2pm Janine and Sue go head to head in the Singles and after that Janine and Lu play Megan and Sue in the pairs. As always it would be great to have support

Sunday  22nd Kas and Chris are off to Garston to play Martin Coles . Play starts at 6pm

Ooh and apologies I forgot kas has her unbadged singles final on Saturday as well. Sorry kazza and anyone else I forgot.  So many things to try and remember .

At long last the shirts will be delivered on Tuesday 17th just in time for the boys top club. Those that need to pay need to pay up before getting their shirts

26th March 2018

A message from Sue, your Bowls Secretary:

Hope everyone is well and got trough the cold weather well. Outdoor season is nearly upon us and its time to start getting some dates in your diary

We are having a Pre-Season  get together on  Friday 20th April @ 7pm     Come down, have a drink and catch up with those you haven't seen for a while.  There will be some nibbles too. Diaries and County books will be there to pick up and other competition forms to enter. Don't forget your cash for the comps and diaries if you haven't already paid for them.  Talking about paying this is a gentle reminder to everyone that ALL monies need to be paid by the end  of April so why not pay on the get together night. The 20th is also 500 club so even more reason to turn up

As last year myself and Ann will be arranging bowls teas plus refreshments for hosting games and club entry matches.  As last year I will be making the majority of menus to make it easier and less stressful  for everyone.  This year we are not expecting the men to cook ( unless of course they want to) but what we would like and hope you will all do is one man per game on a friendly or hosting game to  help with the clearing away and washing up. There are enough men in the club that you probably will only do it once or maybe twice . Rubber gloves will be provided to safe guard your soft hands 🤔😊   A list will go up of games for you tick what you can do but we know you probably cant tick until the week the game is picked but be warned my little washer uppers if no name goes down a name will be picked on the day

Ladies there will be a tea meeting on Saturday 21st April @11am for you all to choose the games you can do. Again if everyone plays fair and spreads the load or helps in any small way it will make things easier and it wont come down to the same people. If there are gaps or people are not around on that day names will go onto a date and then you will have to swap or change yourself

There will also be working parties on the weekends preceding the pre season get together. Paul and Duncan will be looking for help so keep your eyes peeled for the dates

If you know others that are not on email please pass on the info. I will be texting them and sending some in the post

So get the outdoor clothes washed, polish up your balls and get your purses and wallets out and I will see you all on the 20th April

24th March 2018

The Ealing and District AGM will be held on Sunday 8th April 2018 at 10.00 am at the Ealing Central Union Bowls Club, Craven Road.

18th March 2018Paul Cater has been offered a game with Hounslow IBC on 24th March 2018 at 2.30pm. If you would like to be part of this game, please contact Paul or Captain Bill Fletcher (Mob: 07760 377960) They need 16 names in total of either gender!  This is not  a West Ealing BC game!
